About the programme

Resetting the world through design.

BA (Hons) Design for Social Futures fosters a learning environment where students gain flexibility — from leadership to co-creation — and adapt quickly to the challenges faced by today's society. Challenges where design thinking, innovation and value creation are key to unlocking opportunities across every economic sector.

The programme is rooted in service design, user interface and experience design, information and data, social design, transformative systems, speculative and strategic design, and digital content and narrative design.

The curriculum prioritises both human and non-human perspectives — encouraging students to ask valid, significant and complex questions, mediating between past and future, global and local, traditions and contemporaries.
